April 9th 1940-Germany invades Denmark and Norway. Both Denmark and Norway eventually surrender, but Denmark surrenders right after the attack while Norway surrenders on June 9th of that same year.
July 10-October 31, 1940- The Battle of Britain ends with Great Britain beats the Nazi Germans.
December 7th, 1941- Japan bombs Pearl Harbor.
December 11, 1941- Nazi Germany and its allies(The Axis) declare war on the United States.
October 20, 1944- US troops land in the Philippines.
April 30, 1945- Hitler commits suicide.
May 7, 1945- Germany surrenders to the western Allies.
May 9, 1945- Germany Surrenders to the Soviets.
August 6, 1945- The United States drops the uranium bomb named little boy on Hiroshima.
August 9, 1945- The United States drops the plutonium bomb named fat man on Nagasaki.
September 2, 1945- Japan surrenders ending WWII.
